OCIO Decision Package Prioritization and Ranking report 2018 Supplemental Budget

OCIO Decision Package (DP) Prioritization and Ranking report for the 2018 Supplemental Budget.

Per RCW 43.105.240 and 43.88.092, as part of the Governor’s budget submission, the director of the consolidated technology services agency provides information technology budget detail. To do this, the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) reviews agency Decision Packages (DP)s each budget cycle to assess how the agency Information technology requests are aligned with the Washington State Enterprise Technology Strategy.

The OCIO reviewed and scored the 35 DPs provided by agencies by December 15, that met the threshold to be considered significant information technology expenditures, per the 2017-19 Biennial Budget Instructions.

The results of the reviews, including a ranked list using the weighted criteria, are provided in this report.  This year, the OCIO provided additional analysis within four categories:  New Solutions, Foundational/Infrastructure, Legacy/System Modernization, and Continuation/Additional Support.  The report contains prioritized listings within these categories.  Also included are descriptions of the criteria used to review each DP.
