OCIO Decision Package (DP) Prioritization and Ranking for the 19-21 Biennial Budget

OCIO Decision Package (DP) Prioritization and Ranking for the 19-21 Biennial Budget.

Per RCW 43.105.240 and 43.88.092, as part of the Governor’s budget submission, the director of the consolidated technology services agency provides information technology budget detail. To do this, the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) reviews agency Decision Packages (DP)s each budget cycle to assess how the agency Information technology requests are aligned with the Washington State Enterprise Technology Strategy.

During its initial screening, the OCIO reviewed and scored the 100 DPs that were submitted by agencies by September 14th. These DPs met the threshold to be considered significant information technology expenditures, per the 2019-21 Biennial Budget Instructions.

The results of the reviews, including a ranked list using the weighted criteria, are provided in this report. The report contains prioritized listings within these categories.  Also included are descriptions of the criteria used to review each DP.

The results listed below are from an initial analysis of DPs submitted by September 14th. An additional analysis of DPs submitted after this deadline will be completed sometime in December.
